D10 - reset

• it moves the current branch to a specific commit
• it can also copy data from the repository to other areas

• git reset --hard copies data from the destination commit to the working and staging area
• git reset --mixed copies data to just the staging area (default)
• git reset --soft simply moves the branch and skips the copying
